The challenge
Original Digital's infrastructure and data sat in an external Azure tenant shared with another business (Mile). They needed everything moved into their own tenant without disrupting live services, on a tight timeline over the Christmas period.
Our approach
- Review of the existing infrastructure and an assessment of migration impact.
- A task-level plan (~118 hours T&M) and separate resource groups to split Original Digital from Mile.
- Several Azure engineers given access, so the plan didn't depend on one person.
- Test, then a weekend production cutover (Feb 2024) followed by two weeks of hyper-support.
The result
- Full migration “of the entire infrastructure, including data, between Azure environments” delivered with a weekend cutover.
- Client meeting after cutover planning described as “quite positive” (23 Feb 2024).
