Operation M.I.S.T.: Keeping a Maternal-Health Monitoring Platform Running

Client

Operation M.I.S.T., a US maternal-health organisation that monitors expectant mothers through smart-watch data.

Service

Product engineering and AWS operations.

The challenge

The platform relies on Garmin wearables and runs on AWS. Two vendor deadlines threatened it:

  • Garmin retiring OAuth 1 for its Connect Developer APIs;
  • AWS requiring an upgrade of Amazon ECR Basic Scanning before 2 February 2026.

Our approach

  1. Scoped Statements of Work (Nov 2025) for the Garmin Connect OAuth 1 to OAuth 2 migration and the Amazon ECR image-scanning upgrade.
  2. Ongoing support of the AWS RDS-backed application across dev and prod, plus an estimate for a notifications feature.
